Understanding Your Due Date

The estimated due date is calculated based on either your last menstrual period (LMP) or your conception date. If using LMP, the calculator adds 280 days (40 weeks) to that date. If using the conception date, it adds 266 days (38 weeks).

Keep in mind that only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Most babies are born within a week before or after the estimated due date. Your healthcare provider might adjust this date based on other factors or early ultrasounds.

The pregnancy week calculation is an estimate and may not be exact, especially if your cycles are irregular or longer/shorter than average.

Always consult with your healthcare provider for the most accurate information about your pregnancy and due date.
